This beautifully crafted timber framed workshop/garage boasts a basement home office and storage space. We recommended an adaptation to the original design, to utilise the basement space, meeting further storage needs.
The garage timber structure is cladded with larch wood; a material valued for its tough, waterproof, and durable qualities. Glulam beams give structural support, a material that is economical, strong, more environmentally efficient but also beautifully crafted, providing a featured finish. The beams sit below a bespoke curved hipped roof structure slated with Spanish roof tiles. While the raw material of the Glulam beam is a renewable resource, it’s also both reusable and recyclable making it part of a natural ecocycle.
The workshop features electric roller garage doors and aluminium windows with an anthracite finish with matching basement door.
Outside, an Indian sandstone patio area tapers to reclaimed oak sleeper steps.
